Paul Scholes does not think Manchester United can compete for your Premier League title in the next couple of decades.
Even the ex-United along with England midfielder considers the side’s results this season reveal they stay behind last season’s top four.
United, who brought with Southampton last weekend, have just 1 victory from their opening four games, lost after thrashing Chelsea on the opening afternoon and having also drawn with Wolves.
Scholes said:”I believe you have to compose United off for the subsequent two years – this team – till Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stripped what he wants out; includes five or four transfer windows.
“United will be supporting Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham.
“I think this is United in the minute; you need to be patient with the young players however the knowledgeable players need to step up.
“We’ve observed over and over how many errors seasoned players are making. It is hard for young players to develop to a team such as this.”
Scholes implied that Solskjaer made the wrong decision to draw Juan Mata later Jannick Vestergaard cancelled out Dan James’ opener in the 1-1 draw.
“I am disappointed. From when the minute Juan Mata went away, really it looked like. I was surprised because I thought if anybody will create something it is Juan Mata,” Scholes said.
“But it was not the young players that I was disappointed with, it was the skilled players. When Matic arrived he gave the ball away, Ashley Young gave the ball away, amd I don’t understand the number of times Paul Pogba lost ownership.
“These are the people that young players are looking around, the cases you’re looking at.”
