Leicester captain Wes Morgan states racism in soccer is a issue that is bigger than when he started his acting career now.
Morgan suggested social media was a catalyst to the growth in abuse on the internet and at the stadiums.
Tyrone Mings and england’s Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford were mistreated on Monday during England victory against Bulgaria – although Leicester’s Hamza Choudhury is one of lots of players to have obtained racist abuse on networking.
“I have to say it is worse however on the basis that if I first started there wasn’t the social media aspect to it ,” he told Sky Sports News.
“This seems to be the catalyst for most of this stereotypical behavior that is happening.
“In the moment it is an easy method to target players and say negative things – that’s a problem within itself. The social networking side needs to be cared for.
“With that the papers and the press will pick it up (will be) voiced out there for all to be aware of.
“There are plenty of problems and that is the reason of me on this advisory committee to fix these issues.”
Morgan is part of the brand new BAME advisory committee that met for the very first time of their Premier League.
Members of this committee comprise present Watford captain Troy Deeney, Shola Ameobi and Joleon Lescott, as well as former Premier League players Ian Wright.
“I was approached with the Premier League about being with this particular advisory committee with the aim of tackling racism in sport and football. It’s a wonderful chance and I have got something to give,” he added.

“We will attempt to make adjustments for future generations to improve the sport for them, therefore it simpler for them to encounter without needing to go through racism in any way.”
