Raffle Prize will Plan to resume winning ways at the Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket on September 28.
Mark Johnston’s filly has had a year already, winning the Queen Mary in Royal Ascot and the Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket.
She shot in the Prix Morny out around the last time, when beaten a neck by Andre Fabre’s new star Earthlight dropping in defeat.
Johnston stated:”She will await the Cheveley Park now. It was a run that is good and also there were not any excuses.
“It seemed like she’d much prefer better ground, but that might apply to the winner.
“You would hope she would get better ground at Newmarket, because there is not any superior autumn path than Newmarket. Everything is fine with her, touch wood.”
Stablemate Communique could return to Germany looking for a first Group One victory – but Johnston is thinking about the Canadian International and Japan Cup using a line during his run supporting the Ghaiyyath.
“He missed the break drastically with the blindfold still on so that wasn’t him,” said that the Middleham handler.
“There’s the Grosser Preis Von Baden in just two weeks’ period, but could we dare take him after two disasters at Germany? I really don’t understand. I have not really looked at what your alternatives are.
“I’d really like to watch him finish the year at the Canadian International and Japan Cup, however I’d have liked to be moving into these races off a top run. I’d like to think he could have won a Group One in Germany, but we have experienced two disasters.
“You’d think the Canadian International could be a suitable target, but also you need to be moving into these races on the rear of good runs.”
