Royal Ascot heroine Daahyeh bids to Subtract the winning trail from the Shadwell Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket on Friday.

After following her powerful Newmarket debut up with success at the Albany Stakes at Berkshire at mid-June roger Varian’s filly looked every inch juvenile in the building.
She has had to make do with the spot in her two begins, but has lost little in defeat in chasing home Raffle Prize at the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes and Enjoy in the Moyglare Stud Stakes in Ireland, under a fortnight past.
Varian stated:”Daahyeh conducted great at the Moyglare on her very first try in seven furlongs if she was coming back after having a small break. I am very pleased at how she am very much looking forward to running her and has come out of this race.
“It was a tight decision choosing between operating her here or at the Cheveley Park Stakes on Saturday.
“However, the long-term plan may consist of taking her around to the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf within a longer trip, so it seemed wise to stay at seven furlongs rather than yo-yoing back down into six.”
Daahyeh is among three most Varian runners, together with the Bury Road-based coach saddling the maiden Stylistique – the mount of Frankie Dettori – and Salisbury second Alash Orda.
“Alash Orda is really a beautiful filly who is creating a major jump in course, but she’ll be a nice horse at the time,” the trainer added.
“Stylistique is becoming better and better and even though she’s still a maiden, ” I don’t feel her existing disability mark of 98 flatters her or is any type of fluke.
“She won’t have to improve much to produce the frame on Friday.”
Richard Hannon’s Cloak Of Spirits made a large impression on her introduction but can only finish sixth when favorite for its May Hill at Doncaster.
Aidan O’Brien – that maintained this Group two trophy for the third time with Just Beautiful – depends on Blissful, who has won her last two starts at Tipperary and Leopardstown.
Festival Day is an intriguing contender for Mark Johnston, turning out only 10 days after bolting up at Chepstow.
Charlie Johnston, assistant to his father, said:”It wouldn’t be something we usually do – throwing that a horse in at the deep end so quickly – but this filly was revealing enough early on to provide her some entries in this type of level.
“She was unlucky to be beaten on her first run in Goodwood and she put that expertise to work with at Chepstow last week.
“Daahyeh sets an excellent standard and is going to be a tough nut to crack. It’s a small fact-finding assignment for us, however we hope she’ll be aggressive.”
The other hopefuls are Under The Stars (James Tate), Sexy Touch (Hugo Palmer) and Alabama Whitman (Richard Spencer).
