NASCAR’s first trip to the Roval (half road program, half oval) is going to be at Charlotte this week plus a lot is up for debate.
Can this race play similar to a street course like Watkins Glen with a number of wide open segments where drivers can get some speed, or will it play more as an intermediate track where motorists Martin Truex Jr. and Kevin Harvick have mastered so often over the last two decades?
The truth lies somewhere in the center, or even a little. BET Chicago says the Roval could play 33 percent like Charlotte Motor Speedway 33 percent just like Watkins Glen and another 33 percent just like an intermediate class.
This really is a race where moving chalk is the best option, although that is a lot to digest. Watkins Glen is loved by kyle Busch; he is coming off of a win and he’s success on intermediate paths. If he isn’t out ahead he’s the betting favored at 3/1 and will likely be stalking the leader.
