La Liga have asked the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for permission to maintain Decembers game between Atletico Madrid and Villarreal at Miami.
Both teams have agreed to this suggestion to maintain the 6 December fixture at the Miami Dolphins Hard Rock Stadium.
La Liga failed in an attempt to maneuver the assembly of Barcelona into Miami in January with Girona.
The RFEF and the players union (AFE) were both vocal in objecting to this move on that occasion.
La Liga signed up to play with one match a season as a member of a deal with media business Relevent at 2018.
Relevent chairman Charlie Stillitano started a legal case against US football authorities in September, after the organizations plans were obstructed by the United States Soccer Federation to host matches.
La Liga president Javier Tebas stated:This match would be a further drive in La Ligas internationalisation plan, which will be giving all clubs good results. We feel that on this event, well be able to carry out this favorable opportunity for everybody, like they already do in other leagues like the NFL and the NBA, outside of the boundaries.
Atletico Madrid chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin added:Wed be able to bring Spanish football closer to the fans and followers that reside outside of our nation. It could be a terrific game, which would demonstrate the way to go later on.
The top flight filed a suit having a court in Madrid.
That match also needed the approval of Uefa, US Soccer and the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf).
