Gerwyn Price preserved his International Darts Open title, beating Rob Cross 8-6 in a thrilling final in Riesa.
The Iceman claimed his maiden European Tour title year and he returned to maintain his hands with a run that surfaced in a classy closing against Voltage
Price whose two other titles this season came with an Players Championship double in February, started his weekend work on Saturday with a 6-4 win on Kyle Anderson and on Sunday the exact identical scoreline accounted for Joe Murnan after which a quarter-final win over UK Open winner Nathan Aspinall, who had led 4-2.

“I had three months off and following the breakup, I wasn’t very convinced – I changed my darts, had a brand fresh set of darts and it seemed to work for me personally.
“I usually start pretty nicely in the beginning of the season and then taper off, ideally that’s a bit different this year. After winning this one, I confident today.
“Maybe [I will possess ] a weekend following week and then I can look ahead to Gibraltar and the remainder of the year”
Rod Studd phil Taylor and Fallon Sherrock combined the Darts Show podcast to talk tungsten, and Taylor suggested that Leighton Bennett should be part of the Grand Slam line-up.
