In general, Team Odds Shark’s 2019 edition went 41-41 more than four distinct vegas football contests in Week 1 on a combination of 82 NFL and college picks. From this team’s 14 members, seven ended with a winning record on their picks while the other seven struggled a bit, particularly in the Circa Sports Million specialist competition.
The group’s best performance came in the Golden Nugget’s Ultimate Football Challenge, in which entrants can choose any seven sides one of both college and pro football games. Harry Gagnon led how heading an impressive 6-1, including winners on Missouri (-14), Arkansas State (+1) and LSU (-6) in college and the Buffalo Bills (+3),” New England Patriots (-5.5) and Houston Texans (+7) in the professionals. Cousin Sal also went 4-3 in Week 1, going 3-1 in school with easy winners on Maryland (-2), Baylor (-26) and San Diego State (+7.5). Sal also needed the Tennessee Titans (+5.5). Brothers Darren and Brian Szokoli moved 5-9 on their 14 selections in Week 1 involving them.
College football does seem to be the group’s strong suit so far, as mentioned Shark’s very own Jon Campbell (5-2) and Clay Travis (4-3) went a combined 9-5 in the William Hill College Pick’em contest as well. Campbell and Travis joined Gagnon with LSU (-5.5) over Texas, along with the duo shared a different winner with Penn State (-29.5) routing Buffalo.
The results weren’t as great with entrants necessary to select five NFL sides from the spread. The team of Anthony Riccobono (2-3), Frank Schwab (2-3), Jon Anik (3-2) and Paulo Antunes (3-2) managed to move 10-10 from the SuperContest, as three of these dropped together with all the Denver Broncos (Pick’em) on Monday Night Football to shut out Week 1.
From the Circa Sports Million, Odds Shark’s Joe Osborne (3-2) has been the only one among four members to have a winning record in Week 1. Kris Abbott (2-3) along with Joe Fortenbaugh (1-4) were equally burned by the Broncos (-2.5) too while the lone winner for Pamela Maldonado (1-4) has been an easy one with all the Titans (+5.5) on the Cleveland Browns.
