The coaching staff of rotherham have opted to change dugouts to their home games, in an attempt to help turn around a poor start.
The Sky Bet League One side have failed to acquire any of their four home games (in all competitions) so far this effort, with the concession of critical stoppage-time goals to Sheffield Wednesday at the Carabao Cup along with Tranmere in League One proved to be the tipping point.
Director Paul Warne hopes that his communicating with his players will soon be enhanced by being away from the house stand his group prefers to strike from the second half.
“You could be in either dugout, but there are a few reasons for the shift,” he told the club website.
“One is that we have not really done well at home this season and we’re all a little bit helpless on certain things. As a result of this, we alter that and certain things is.
“It will be a bit fresh for us as employees also and we are likely to go with this. Then we will stay there When we win and when we lose, we could be moving back up the hill. There is no more play than that .”
The next home game of rotherham comes with their opponents with only picked up one point in their five games against fighting Bolton on Saturday.
Largely thanks to two off successes, Rotherham are 15th at the table with a match in hand but one of the sides above them, which makes them in contact with the play-off positions.
“I know several clubs have completed it over the past few years and unique managers have tried different things,” Warne continuing. “I understand Sheffield United did it I’m not saying we’re going to arrive at the Premier League, but you never know, it is possible to dream.
“It might help, it may not. We may then be going that way [towards the house fans]. I talked for their opinions to the staff and they believe that it might assist us.
“If it does and it helps us to win and it is a far much better operating environment, then excellent.”
