Alas, Game of Thrones is coming to a close after eight seasons of unprecedented amusement that captivated millions of TV watchers all over the world.
But we still have one more week of Game of Thrones gambling odds to think about and the wager we have been keeping an eye on for 8+ years is eventually going to be determined:
Who will sit on the Iron Throne as soon as the show’s final scene cuts?
With one episode left, it is time to take a final look in the’Who Can Rule Westeros?’ Gambling market. (Potential spoilers ahead!)
Together with the Night King and Cersei defeated in addition to the Great War ended, the market for who will rule Westeros at show’s end is down to some key characters.
6 GoT Characters Worth Considering to Sit on the Iron Throne
Tyrion Lannister (7/1)
Tyrion opened the market around 12/1 but appears he will close the market around 7/1 odds to emerge from all of the battles to sit beneath the throne. This isn’t so eccentric of an idea if you think that the fan-theory indicating Tyrion is really the son of the Mad King along with a Targaryen. If Tyrion is actually Daenerys’ older brother, then he’s the rightful heir to the Iron Throne and offers great value.
Sansa Stark (4/1)
It appears the Starks could be the only real family left but if Jon Snow does not live to see the end than Sansa listed at 4/1 is an excellent bet to sit down on the Iron Throne. She also has an obvious connection with Tyrion that has a opportunity to rule himself and could decide her to rule alongside him.
Gendry (30/1)
After Episode 3 of Season 8, Gendry, the bastard son of Robert Baratheon, was the favorite to rule Westeros at 2/1 but now with Episode 6 to the horizon, Gendry is a long as 30/1. Gendry is the only man alive with sufficient Baratheon blood to claim ruler of Westeros if those at the end of the show pick House Baratheon still retains the right to the throne but it does not seem all that likely that’s how they pick their ruler.
Arya Stark (30/1)
Arya Stark, the”Night King Slayer”, appeared like a longshot to rule at the end but after her performance in the Great War, it is not so unimaginable. But for the most youthful Stark girl to rule Westeros a couple important characters need to die. All those people dying isn’t from the question but even assuming everyone facing her moves before the last scene cuts, would Arya even want to sit on the Iron Throne?
