Game of Thrones returned because of its 8th and last season on Sunday night. It did not disappoint, as HBO’s enormous hit series showcased a litany of highly anticipated reunions as well as some revelations.
Continue reading at your own peril, since this post contains Game of Thrones spoilers if you have not seen most of the show and particularly the very first episode of the new year.
There were a few touching moments such as Jon Snow seeing sister Arya Stark for the first time since the passing of their father. There was an embarrassing one with essentially nobody in Winterfell understanding how to get their new queen, Daenerys.
Then there was the closing moment, and in case you haven’t caught up to the point, I’ll spare you out of a naturally spoiler. It is a fun one, however, and surely bleeds into episode two and beyond.
We’re already running out of time to begin tying up loose ends and to close this narrative without it feeling rushed, yet there’s so much to cover.
Nothing too crazy happened in episode one, besides Jon Snow learning he is the true heir to the Iron Throne. Snow hasn’t always been the fastest to pick up things, but I must think he soon figures out that way Daenerys is his aunt.
And, yeah.
But beyond some meetings and a few crucial news being relayed, we did not advance the narrative too much. I am certain that calls for a fairly volatile episode three, but with this much ground to cover, I have to think a slew of Game of Thrones prop bets will begin blowing up before our very eyes.
Several still stand strong at Bovada, however. That’s true for wagers you’ve already set, but little really occurred in episode one there are still a lot of Game of Thrones chances at Bovada to get wagers you may hop on right now.
Let us go over the top ones, their odds, and how you might want to wager on them.
Cersei Lannister Prop Bets
Queen Cersei appeared in episode one, and she didn’t die. She did remain absolutely dreadful, however.
In fact, she tightened her marriage with Euron Greyjoy greater than ever, as two of the most hated Game of Thrones characters got married at the biblical sense.
This was gross to see, but it may have tied both at the hip, and I am not sure what that means for their future.
When Can Cersei Die?
That will make you wonder if Queen Cersei will meet her demise. It is hard to eliminate such a powerful and impactful character in any way, not as early in the final season.
Still, just five episodes remain in one of the greatest tv shows ever, and no personality is too important to be spared. Notably one loathed as much as Cersei.
Bovada asks when she will meet the gods, whether they’re the new or the old.
Episode 5 or 6 -500 Episode 4 or 3 +400 Does Not Mean +550 Episode 1 or 2 two +5000
We’re really just getting started here, along with the trajectory of this series might actually be going in the opposite order I expected it to. With the Night King’s army quickly moving towards Winterfell, it’s quite possible the humans might need to win the war against the deceased and then worry about Cersei and some of the deadly enemies.
If that’s true, I don’t see how Cersei dies before the conclusion of the collection. There’s a small chance she is only taken prisoner for all her evil deeds, but I expect the good men to win in the end.
It doesn’t offer a whole lot of betting value, but it does not mean it’s the wrong play.
