In his newest BBC Sport column, Wales center Hadleigh Parkes goes ahead to Sundays World Cup quarter-final from France and reveals his team-mates have shot into Japans naked springs.
I have to pinch myself that I am playing in a World Cup quarter-final, and this Sundays game against France is up there with the biggest matches of my career.
If we win in Oita , we all know well be going having a chance to make history to Yokohama.
We All know whats at stake. We continue on to Yokohama for the semi-finals and final and beat a side that is challenging – or well be flying back into Wales on Monday.
You just want to keep winning and winning and theres a carrot in the end of it. Its so exciting.
Its amazing to be here in the last eight and we are really hoping we could be there at the previous four.
My parents, Bill and Janet, have come out to observe, as have my brother Greg and his wife Hayley.
Its mommys birthday on Friday after which, when all goes against France, I will have my two brothers next week, coming out, and its going to be my parents 40th wedding anniversary week. So thats more incentive to perform!
I took a small hit at the win over Uruguay to my shoulder, however it was not anything too serious, the shoulder great and everything appears to be okay.
Occasionally with accidents you wont acquire any for ages and then other times you receive a couple of distinct niggles at once – like I have had in the World Cup using the cracked bone in my hands and the shoulder knock – and it is just about trying to manage them.
My bodys feeling quite good and its just a case of earning sure I do everything to maintain the perfect shape to the game.
Once I had all of the strapping on distinct elements of my body, I mentioned that I got called Robocop.
That just started from Ross Moriarty with one remark but, now Ive said it I have been becoming grief in the lads.
Im just glad they are reading them, although every now and then the lads will create a comment concerning my columns. All of it adds to the numbers!
Theres certainly not occurring in Oita than the other, bigger cities like Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. Its more of a quiet, beachy type place with holidaymakers here to its onsens.
The onsens appear to be the big attraction in nearby and Oita Beppu, in which we had been staying for the Fiji game.
The huge difference between these springs along with the ones which that you may see elsewhere in the world is that convention dictates which, in the majority of onsens, you have got to be nude.
The boys started off in the onsens using their shorts , then they got down to their budgie smugglers and everyones in the naked.
The boys are embracing it. It is something youre not used to and a bit different, but it is the culture out here. Its the way its completed.
Some onsens are somewhat nicer than others and also there are.
This is a nice place and weve had a couple of wins against Fiji in Oita around and from Uruguay at Kumamoto.
Were back in Oita, it would be great if we could find a second triumph in this city in Sundays big match against the French.
We know how hard its going to be away from them – theyve got a great deal of talent, some boys and some excellent people.
As a group, you do not wish to be chomping at the bit too early. You are able to get yourself overhyped, then all of a sudden you are coming back and you will need to get yourself.
So it is about building nicely, training nicely, ticking the boxes that you just tick off, a couple of meetings, a couple of walk-throughs and the boys can speak to each other to undergo what we need out of the training sessions and also to take into the match.
The start of the week will be getting prepared and the close of the week is about finalising, making certain everythings in place.
Its great to unwind the day prior to the match. The boys will opt for a coffee and watch both Saturday quarter-finals, England-Australia along with Ireland-New Zealand, in our hotel.
When you wake up on the dawn of the game, that is when you start to construct and get excited you do not need to play with the game.
I do not really have a set routine on game days. I will get up, have breakfast and then it is only the family if they, and also a matter of relaxing throughout the daytime over a coffee with the boys.
Then we have the pre-match dinner, that is quite similar weeks, then Ill have a shower, get wrapped up at the team hotel and then we are on the bus.
Its a fair distance to the stadium from our resort here seeing as its a 40-minute ride , you do not want to get hyped when you are on the bus.
Youre relaxed at that point. Driving to the stadium exciting and then you get with the warm-up properly into it.
Its the game. It is always great to pull on that red jersey, and also to do it in a World Cup quarter-final on Sunday is going to be special.
