This weekend, we’ve got a 12-fight card in Canada. DraftKings has some solid contests for us to acquire a great deal of cash from this week. The main GPP is a $15 buy and $25k belongs to 1st place with a total of $100k being paid out. They also have a new Qualifier only contest for $175,000. There will be 100 qualifiers for that contest and they will compete for a $50k first place price and that $175k will be spread out between all 100 entries that qualify. I will try to get my 2nd seat this week if possible. Those Qualifier only contests can be actual bankroll suckers, so be cautious chasing those overly hard. I’ll probably stick to the very best GPP this week and throw a small number of entries at that $25k prize, and then I will likely take a couple shots at the Q. I will also be publishing H2Hs in addition to picking up H2Hs through the week to get a fantastic quantity of drama into money games.
With that said, let us get into a few plays I enjoy this week Together with my fade of this week:
Cash Game play of the week — Macy Chiasson — $9,400
Macy Chiasson is undoubtedly the safest play in the board this week and she also has 100+ stage upside down. She is a lock in my cash games this week and that I don’t really see how she loses. I think a entry could be Moras’ best opportunity but she isn’t very capable of getting the fight to the floor, so I see her becoming dominated on the feet until the ref steps in. She’s by far my favorite play at the $9k selection and she is a -750 on the gambling line. I enjoy playing with it safer in cash games and I think she is a secure triumph this week.
GPP drama of the week — Greg Hardy- $8,600
This is a simple one for me and he’ll be the chalk of this week. I will continue to be obese on Merab though. His style is exactly what we want on DraftKings. He has a nonstop speed and he shoots for takedowns frequently. He’s 22 landed takedowns in his first 3 UFC fights and that is his very best route to victory in this matchup too. Despite two losses on his record out of those 3 conflicts, he averages more DK points than Katona does with his 2-0 UFC record. This is not my GPP drama of the week since I understand he is going to win, I just know IF he wins he will score highly, and that he needs to easily reach value on an $8.6k price tag.
Underdog drama of the week — Donald’Cowboy’ Cerrone — $7,800
I have to select Cowboy as the dog of the week. His fights are always action packed and the winner of the fight will definitely be on the first-place lineup. Particularly if it is Cowboy. He always scores over 100 points in his wins and he has 5-rounds to work with here. I don’t find a circumstance in which he wins and does not end up about the $25k lineup. I’ll be overweight on Cowboy this week, but this is an all-in struggle for me. If Cowboy isn’t in one of my lineups, then you are going to see Iaquinta there. I’m thicker on the Cowboy side though and I believe he gets the work done by submission.
Fade of this week — Elias Theodorou ($8,000)
I would be quite surprised to see Theodorou about the 1st location lineup this week. I would be surprised to see him get even 10x his $8k cost and that’s why I will have zero lineups with him this week. Not counting his fight with Dan Kelly, his 4 wins before that scored 76, 69, 64, and 49. His style is simply not good for DraftKings. He is going to need to knock Brunson out if he’s going to score tremendously and he is not a power puncher. I believe you’re better off carrying Elias by TKO on the betting line at +870. I really don’t find any reason to invest in him this week in GPPs since he doesn’t possess the ceiling we want to win that big $25k. I think he is fine in cash games because a 65-point win wouldn’t kill us there. But he’s an easy fade of the week for me this Saturday.
