Probability is the likelihood or chance that something will occur. Probability is an estimate of their comparative average frequency with which an event happens in repeated trials. The comparative frequency is always between 0 percent (the event occurs) and 100% (the event always occurs). Probability provides us an instrument to predict an event will happen, but does not allow us to predict when exactly an event will happen. Probability can be used to ascertain the conditions for obtaining certain effects or a game’s prospects; it may help determine if there is a specific game really worth playing with. It’s often expressed as odds, a percentage or a decimal fraction (also known as a percentage ). Probability and odds are different methods of describing a player’s likelihood of winning a wager.

Probability
Probability is an estimate of the possibility of winning divided by the whole number of possibilities out there. Probability is a typical percentage (e.g., 1/4) that may likewise be expressed as a percentage (e.g., 25%) or as a proportion between 0 and 1 (e.g., p = 0.25). If there are four tickets at a draw and a player owns one of them, their odds of winning is 1 in 4 or 1/4 or 25 percent or p = 0.25.
