Salford Red Devils’ Lee Mossop states that their game against Wigan Warriors at the Super League play-offs is your”best game” for them.
They finished third and secured their play-off place but, after a successful year under the guidance of trainer Ian Watson although many tipped Salford for relegation.
Prop Mossop, that proceeded into the Red Devils out of Wigan, states it’s the ideal game for them since they seem to make the semi-finals.
He explained:”We are full of confidence in the moment. This week we have got and it’s the perfect match for us.
“They’ve been here every single year, they are reigning champions, and they understand how to win those matches. It is going to give us a great idea of where we’re at.
“Although we’re not disrespecting themwe’re very confident going up against them.”
Before it had been verified on Friday using a victory against Hull A win against Leeds Rhinos a few weeks ago all-but confirmed their spot from the play-offs.
They are targeting the Grand Final and have now some momentum.
Mossop said:”We are obviously very pleased where we’re but not happy enough however. We wish to keep moving in these play-offs where it takes us and see.
“At the start of the year we were getting beat by 2 points, four things, and we just couldn’t put our finger on the reason why.
“We thought that if we put our aims we can challenge many teams but it just was not happening.
“Luckily enough, we have managed to turn it about. We are on a good run today and, with each game, we’re getting a growing number of confidence.
“In the adversity we’ve faced this season, the small squad we had, and the financial things behind the scenes – it is all contributing to this fairytale ending.”
